2012—-Here we COME.

Come as Close as You Want

This song has been wrecking me for a couple of days now.  This song says everything I want to say to God!

COME AS CLOSE AS YOU WANT! I want all that God has for me regardless of how much the fire of God will hurt! The fire of God is ALL-Consuming and I am ready for it! God, consume me, all the way!

The last 6-8 weeks have been some of the most intense time of growth for me. God has proven Himself over and over and over…He has shown Himself true, and faithful, and just insanely worthy of ALL I have to offer.

My Hearts Bursts with Gratefulness

This year has been an insane year and God has been so good!

What am I thankful for this year?

1. My FAMILY!

I am so grateful for my mom and dad and brothers and sisters :) They are my rock! I am also grateful to have found my birth mom and siblings. Its been cool to connect with them a little and find out where in the heck I came from! haha!

2. My CHURCH FAMILY

God helped me settle at a Church finally! Since moving home from New York 2 years ago I had a hard time finding a Church that was like home.  Lighthouse of Faith has been an answer to prayer in many ways.

3. My BEST FRIENDS

Sierra Irizarry and Helen Baldwin are the best friends a girl could ask for. Sierra and I have been best friends for 2 years and have been praying for God to send us a 3rd! And He did! Helen and I have been friends since  HIgh School but God recently just brought her back into my life and now into Sierra’s life and all 3 of us are just so close and God is using each of us differently in each others life <3 Love you girls!

4. YOUNG ADULTS GROUP

The Young Adults Group in my Church is AWESOME. I love the people I get to learn, grow and hang with! Paige and Roger, Natasha and Dustin, Jose and Sierra, Helen, Joe, Amanda, and Kelsey I love you guys!

5. Opportunities to lead WORSHIP

The call on my life is to lead people into Worship and while I help lead Worship at my Church they also asked me to lead Worship for Youth Harp and Bowl and I feel so blessed to have been trusted with this event! Exciting things are on the horizon!

God has also been opening doors for me to lead Worship here and there at other Churches! Its awesome!

6. My JOB

I love my job. I work for a Christian Marketplace Ministry called Kross Publishing where I basically get to blog, write and use twitter all day! I get to serve Jesus and the Church in this job and am so blessed to have it!

Thanks Paul Collier and Bill Collier :)

7. COFFEE

Coffee and I have been best friends this year. Thank you McDonalds Premium Roast for getting me through another year of hardly any sleep because I am too busy for it. :)

A Remnant is Rising in the Land.

Unseen, unrecognized, they know Whose they are and have died to this present world’s ambitions. They want nothing of a consumer Christianity, where God exists for their earthly pleasure. They have caught a whiff of Heaven’s fragrant food, and just the smell has satisfied them more than the sweetest delicacies of this passing age, and motivates them to remember that they are just passing through.

A Remnant is Rising in the Land.

They will not be bought or sold with position or money. They are remembering why they “got into this” in the first place – for the Lamb. For Jesus Christ’s honor, for the sake of His worthy name. Their backbones are being steeled in the furnace of affliction, and purified of contemporary dross. They are old-school, hard-core Jesus freaks, and they are not apologizing for it. The remnant is not ashamed!

A Remnant is Rising in the Land.

They are blood-bought,and fiercely committed to the Word – the Logos and the Rhema. Something within them stirs because they know they are here on a kairos assignment. They realize that they may have forgotten that for a moment, been diverted off the path for some years, but like soldiers who remember drills from long ago, they are coming to attention and position and awareness. They are here on purpose. They are necessary to Heaven’s narrative. They are not bystanders. They are the players on the stage of His-story.

A Remnant is Rising in the Land.

This army is realizing they never should have eaten Babylon’s food in the first place, even if it was served in halls decorated to look like a cheap imitation of Zion. They would rather be pilgrims than settle. They would rather be fools for Christ than wise in the world’s eyes. They would rather be known in Heaven and feared in Hell than recognized on earth. Whatever happens to them in the world really doesn’t matter. They have locked gazes with the Lamb’s eyes, and locked step with the cadence of Heaven’s march. His remnant understand that this is the Final Act and there is no turning back now.

A Remnant is Rising in the Land.

They are nowhere to be seen and everywhere to be found. There are very few of them chosen, and a great host of them who will emerge. It’s going to be very, very intense, for the sword they carry is stained with the blood of their lesser desires and their crucified carnality. They’ve had their battles, faced their own personal Valleys of Decision, and made their choice. I have Decided. To Follow Jesus. No Turning Back. We have decided. Have you decided? Ready or not, here they come.

There’s an ARMY rising up

“In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions,
your old men will dream dreams. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy.”
Acts 2: 17-18

Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching. Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you.
1 Timothy 4:12-14

The Bible clearly says that God WILL/CAN/DOES use young people. I love a quote by Bill Johnson, “There is no Junior Holy Spirit”. The same Spirit that was in David Wilkerson and Billy Graham lives inside of you and in me! We don’t have to earn the Holy Spirit or get more of the Spirit when we “reach maturity”.

  •  Paul was killing Christians one day and 3 days later was walking in full time ministry.
  •   David killed a giant as a teenager! God used him to defeat a massive enemy!
  • Mary was 16 (ish) when God chose HER to give birth to the Saviour of the World.
  • Joseph was a kid when God gave him VISIONS of ruling over his brothers.
  •   Samuel was a little kid when God literally called to Him.
  •   The Apostles were mostly made up of fishermen, tentmakers and even a tax collector. And they were put in full time ministry overnight!
  • Timothy was a young dude who ministered with Paul.

What made the above mentioned people “qualified” or “mature” enough to do what God called them to do?
I doubt Paul “matured” in the 3 days he was struck blind. But 3 days after his encounter with God, God sent him out! He spent the rest of his life in ministry. There wasn’t some huge time gap where he had to sit for a season of training. Many times experience is our best trainer. God didn’t wait until Paul was “old enough” or “mature enough” in his faith. He just used him.

David was a teenager, a Shephard. God made him a young King! David screwed up a lot as a leader but did God say, “Sorry David, you dropped the ball, youre gonna have to just sit out for a while while we re-train you.” No, God forgave him, rebuked him through a prophet and dealt with him pretty harshly but he didn’t take away his Kingship.

Samuel was a child when he heard the audible voice of God calling to Him. He was a KID! God has a purpose for Samuel and wasn’t making him wait until he was 35 and “mature”.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I believe the more mature you get the more God gives you and trusts you with. I am not dissing mature Christians. What I am saying though is that God isn’t playing games with us. As soon as we get saved and accept Jesus as Savior, He can use us!

I am 25, I am young. I will make mistakes and will screw up. I may give a “Prophetic Word” and be off base, because I am young and still learning. I may lay hands on someone and not see them healed right away. But that’s not going to stop me.

There is a call and a mantle being dropped on my generation. The 16-30 age group has a CALL. We are the Leaders for this next move of God. We are not going to be sitting on the sidelines for this thing-we will be in the center of it. We will lay hands on the sick and see them recover immediately, we will prophecy, we will have dreams and vision, we will have words of knowledge. We will have good discernment.

I truly believe that this generation will step up, an army of youth and young adults.
We will take authority over Satan and his kingdom. We will not be silent any longer. We will not be “Wild Stallions”. We will be submitted under solid leadership and churches, be trained and equipped and sent out to battle.

To all the Young Adults reading this who feel like you are looked down on, judged and/or feel discredited because youre young remember the promise of the verses I posted. He WILL pour out HIS Spirit and when God moves no man can stand in HIS way!

We are all CALLED and CHOSEN for this time. This generation needs to raise the standard!
Don’t give our churches and leaders reasons to look down on us! Let them judge our fruit. Produce amazing fruit and our churches and leaders will have no reason to not acknowledge the gifts, talents and stuff we have to offer the Kingdom. Produce GOOD fruit! Let your trees be heavy with fruit!

My friend Amanda was talking with me about this, “, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity” (from 1 Timothy). She said that the reason our Church Leaders and Churches have a hard time trusting this generation is because were not producing good fruit in the areas of love, faith and purity and in our speech. So if we change that..constant pursuit of holiness. Don’t give people a reason to discredit us. Walk in LOVE, in PURITY, in our SPEECH, in FAITH!

Produce GOOD FRUIT! Let our leaders see the fruit we produce and let them see God using us.
We must be living our lives in holiness. Stop justifying sin so we can do what we want. Stop all the drama. We must walk out lifestyles of Love and Holiness.

Don’t give anyone a reason to discredit you. You may be young but that doesn’t mean youre too young for God to use! Walk in Boldness. Walk in Love. Walk in Faith. Walk in Purity. Watch what comes out of your mouth. Be careful of the Entertainment you let into your lives. Be careful of the people you surround yourself with.

Go forth in Power just like Jesus did!
